Elementary & Junior’s Program (ages 5-10; Kindergarten- 5th grade)
Ballet K: This class is for students in Kindergarten and 1st grade. Students in this class will start using the barre for a few ballet warm-up exercises. Class will begin at the barre, then floor stretches, center technique, across the floor, leaps, and one classical free movement song.
Ballet K/Tap: This class includes the same structure as Ballet k/I, with basic tap for 20 minutes. A great class to try for those who want both styles.
Ballet I: This class is for students who are in 1st and 2nd grade. For 1st graders, they should have completed Ballet K first, before moving up to Ballet I. This class is all structured: ballet barre, center stretches, center technique, and across the floor exercises.
Ballet II: Students in this class must have completed Ballet Level I and be in 2nd grade and older. If they have not completed Ballet I they will have to complete that level before Ballet II. This class is a continuation and further advancement after Ballet I. Students in this class stay in level II for a minimum of 2 years. It will include more technique and longer barre plus more complex center.
Ballet III: This class is by approval of instructor or audition class only. It is for students who have had prior years of ballet experience and have completed at least 2 years of Ballet II and understand all the technique from level II. Students will stay in this level for a minimum of 2-3 years and it is recommended that they take twice a week in ballet in order to advance. This level is not based on grade, but rather the number of years of ballet experience and the ability to understand everything from our lower ballet levels. *Prior ballet training required for this level. Must have instructors permission for this class.*
