Brittany Balise graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management and a minor in psychology from Adelphi University in 2014. During her time in college, she balanced her studies with a deep commitment to working with children. Simultaneously, she was a teacher’s aide for four years in a preschool for children with various needs. This experience allowed her to develop patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young learners.

Brittany started taking classes at Central Park Dance Studio when she was just two years old. She immersed herself in dance, studying a variety of styles, including ballet, jazz, and hip-hop, for 17 years. Through her dedication and love for movement, she honed her technique and grew into a confident and expressive dancer. In 2012, she transitioned from student to teacher, becoming a dance instructor for children and preteens in the styles of ballet, tap, and hip-hop. Teaching allowed her to pass on her knowledge and inspire young dancers, fostering their growth and love for dance.

In 2017, Brittany joined the staff at Jeté Dance Studio, bringing her passion and experience to a new generation of students. For the past six years, she has also been an active member and choreographer for the dance ministry at Living Word Christian Church. The LWCC dance ministry has provided her with the opportunity to praise God through various dance productions, allowing her to merge her love of dance with her faith. This experience has been both spiritually and artistically fulfilling, giving her a deeper connection to performance and community.

Beyond her extensive background in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop, Brittany expanded her dance repertoire by training in ballroom at Dance With Me Studios and Jeté Dance Studio. After developing her skills in the Salsa program, she took her training to the next level by joining the Unidad Company of Jeté. She is now in her third year as a company member for “Unidad,” where she has had the incredible opportunity to perform in multiple states. Her time with Unidad has been a rewarding experience, allowing her to grow as a performer and collaborate with other talented dancers. She looks forward to many more performances and the chance to continue sharing her passion for dance with wider audiences.
