Angel Alsina
Salsa/Latin & Wedding Choreography
Angel Alsina, also known as DJ Classic, was born and raised in New York City. His background comes from a flourishing DJ and producing career. He has performed in some of the most well-known clubs, concerts, and special events throughout the tri-state area.
His passion for music led him to studying Salsa/Mambo at the Santo Rico Dance School in Westchester. While training at SRW, Angel was asked to join the Santo Rico Westchester Salsa Company.
As a member of the SRW company, Angel performed at the Brooklyn Salsa Congress, New York International Salsa Congress, CT Salsa Congress, the World’s Fair Latin Music Congress, and numerous salsa venues throughout New York.
In 2017, Angel helped in the opening of Jeté Dance Studio. Together, Stephanie and Angel direct the Salsa program at Jeté Dance Studio.
Ava Prentice
Ballet / Pointe / Variations
Ava Prentice was born and raised in New Jersey and began dancing at the age of three. She trained at the New Jersey School of Ballet on the invitation of Carolyn Clark and later became a member of the Junior Company. She performed alongside the company in full-length productions of The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, and La Esmeralda.
Ava joined New Jersey Ballet Company in 2019, where she performed featured roles in Don Quixote, Cinderella, and Hansel and Gretel. She was also an instructor at the New Jersey School of Ballet.
In 2022, Ava joined Connecticut Ballet under the direction of Brett Raphael. As a member of the Corps de Ballet, she was featured in The Nutcracker, Coppélia, Be My Valentine, and Ballet Under the Stars.
In 2024, Ava was promoted to Soloist and subsequently performed the role of Alice in the company’s full-length Alice in Wonderland. She has taught ballet through Connecticut Ballet’s outreach program at the Wakeman Boys and Girls Club in Bridgeport.
Ava also performs as a guest artist with BalletNEXT in Park City, Utah, and continues her training privately with master ballet teacher Elena Kunikova. She is so excited to share her passion for ballet with her students at Jeté Dance Studio!
Nicole McGuigan
Contemporary Company / Teen Jazz Company / Contemporary III / Jazz
Nicole is a dance educator and choreographer based in New York City. She grew up in Minnesota, where she studied dance at a local performing arts program and competed nationally for 15 years.
After high school, she went on to complete her bachelor’s degree in dance at Gustavus Adolphus College, where she graduated with honors. Nicole has choreographed for the American College Dance Association, Minnesota ballet dancers, Midwest and East Coast Fringe Festivals, and local New York City companies.
Nicole has been teaching for almost a decade and is currently working full-time with the Joffrey Ballet School. In addition to her work there, she teaches for local Westchester and Long Island studios, working with students ages 2-18.
Nicole also travels to judge dance competitions around the United States, continuing to share her expertise and passion for dance with aspiring performers nationwide.
Camille Rodriguez
Ballet / Jazz / Contemporary
Camille has been teaching dance in New York City and Westchester County for over 20 years.
She studied dance at New York University, earning a B.S. degree in Dance. Throughout her career, she has directed dance programs for New York City public schools and helped dancers prepare for auditions into performing arts high schools.
Camille was part of the Port Chester Council for the Arts, a program designed to bring artists into community schools to expose children to the arts. In addition to teaching in many private studios, she also enjoyed her experience performing.
Camille has performed with the Bruce Weisman Company, Lee Theadore of American Dance Machine, Rod Rodgers NYC, and New York University Dance Companies.
Marci Meyer
Musical Theater / Jazz / Ballet
Marci started her theatrical career in dance at the age of nine with the New York City Ballet. She has performed in notable works such as The Nutcracker and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Lincoln Center. She was also cast in the 20th Century Fox movie production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
At around 20 years of age, she began singing and studied privately with Gina Pennzarela and vocal coach Bill Engles for 10 years. Marci performed in various cabaret clubs, a Cole Porter Revue, and numerous musical theater productions, including West Side Story, South Pacific, The Pajama Game, CATS, Les Misérables, and more.
She has been teaching group and private musical theater classes for multiple years. Marci brings her passion and expertise into every class she teaches and looks forward to sharing her love for theater, dance, and singing with all of her students.
Marci’s most recent success was at a national performing arts competition, where her student won the overall high score of the entire competition for vocal performance and earned a recording contract.
